Virtual Care at Skagit Regional Health: Two Convenient Options

This Virtual Care article is Contributed by Skagit Regional Health | Spring/Summer, 2022

Skagit Regional Health offers two options to help make receiving care more convenient. MyEClinic and MyChart Video Visits are both available to bring patients the care they need, but there are differences. Try MyEClinic when getting to an Urgent Care isn’t convenient. Also,  opt for a MyChart Video Visit for a scheduled appointment.

MyEClinic

MyEClinic is available to anyone in Washington without an appointment for a $40 flat rate. With MyEClinic, patients have 24/7 access to a team of board-certified doctors and nurse practitioners for consultation, diagnosis and treatment through computer video chat or over the phone. These options are available without an appointment. MyEClinic providers treat a variety of minor illnesses and common conditions, such as pink eye, rash, urinary tract infections, sinus symptoms and more. Subsequently, providers are able to prescribe medications when appropriate.

Many Skagit Regional Health Providers offer the opportunity to use MyChart to discuss healthcare topics, new symptoms, or medical concerns.

MyEClinic visits typically last about 20 minutes. If you are signed up for MyChart with Skagit Regional Health, you will receive a summary of the visit that is accessible via the patient’s online account. MyEClinic staff can even help patients find a new doctor for future healthcare needs. Any prescriptions deemed clinically appropriate will be called in to the patient’s preferred local pharmacy.

Virtual Care Providers Assess Unique Circumstances

*MyEClinic providers will always assess a patient’s condition individually. Next, based on the patient’s unique circumstances and the severity of the illness, there may be a need to refer a patient for in-person care. This would ensure proper diagnosis and treatment.

MyChart Video Visits – With Appointments

MyChart Video Visits are available to existing Skagit Regional Health patients, with MyChart accounts. This is a convenient option to replace a scheduled office visit. Many Skagit Regional Health providers offer this opportunity, which allows patients the ease to discuss healthcare topics, new symptoms, or medical concerns.  MyChart Video Visits provide you a doctor visit without needing to travel or waiting to be seen. Simply login at the appointment time, and a medical assistant will help you complete a preliminary screening. Next, your appointment will continue with a provider.

MyChart Video Visits require an active MyChart patient portal account. These visits replace regular office visits and appointments are required.

Types of MyChart Video Visits include:

  • Primary Care – Discuss regular healthcare topics or ask about a new symptom or medical concern
  • Specialty Services – Many specialty appointments can be done virtually, such as pre-op appointments and specialist maintenance visits
  • Chronic Disease Management – Track chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and ongoing medical concerns
  • Acute Concerns – Discuss issues including bladder infections, upper respiratory infections and rashes

How to Schedule

Schedule a MyChart Video Visit inside the MyChart patient portal login page, through a provider’s office directly or call at 360-428-2500.
