This course will teach the correct techniques for applying a tourniquet, packing a wound and how to properly apply pressure dressings.
What would you do in a mass shooting event or if you came upon a car accident? In large tragic events many victims will die from uncontrolled bleeding. The Stop the Bleed program teaches bystanders how to stop bleeding until first responders arrive. This course will teach the correct techniques for applying a tourniquet, packing a wound and how to properly apply pressure dressings. Participants will also learn how to identify certain wounds and the special care those wounds require. A certificate of completion will be provided at the end of the training to participants that are able to successfully demonstrate their ability to Stop the Bleed.
Come float the beautiful Methow River! We’ll paddle a novice section of the river, which will be enjoyable for all skill levels. Orion River Rafting will be our guides on this adventure. Sweet River Bakery will provide sandwiches for everyone. Pick up available in Bellingham and Burlington.

If you are looking for a fun and exhilarating day and don’t mind getting wet then come paddle with us today. Each raft holds 6 paddlers (plus your guide) so bring your friends. They will thank you later!
You are invited for a special evening on the sea with us! A special 2 hour cruise around Bellingham Bay in San Juan Cruises’ Victoria Star has been booked and ready for you to join!
Hors d’ oeuvres will be served and drinks will be available for purchase.
Whatcom Seniors are invited to enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch, senior resource fair (BAH will be tabling), door prizes, live music, bocce, fitness demos and more. This is a day for Whatcom seniors to socialize with friends old and new and learn about over 30 local resources available to them including event sponsors. There is a suggested donation of $5.00.
