Island Hospital will be offering a health screening event. No appointment required. Please do not arrive prior to 7:30 a.m. Participants may choose to have their blood tested for:
Cholesterol & Glucose: This blood test determines your total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglyceride and glucose levels, which can be indicators of cardiovascular disease or diabetic tendencies. A 12-hour fast is required with water and needed medications only.
Vitamin D: This screening will determine the level of vitamin D in your blood. Studies have shown that low levels of vitamin D may contribute to the possibility of developing osteoporosis, cancer and other health conditions.
